Chainstorm Virus

The Chainstorm Virus first appeared in the Mumbai Chain Node on October 15, 2045. Initially dismissed as a minor glitch, it demonstrated an unprecedented ability to self-modify and evolve. Investigation has revealed three distinct phases of the virus:

  1. Infiltration Phase (Days 1-30)

  • Virus embedded itself in verification protocols

  • Created backdoors in security systems

  • Replicated across major network nodes

  • Remained completely undetected

  1. Corruption Phase (Days 31-60)

  • Began subtle manipulation of transaction data

  • Introduced cascading errors in smart contracts

  • Corrupted backup systems

  • Created false transaction histories

  1. Collapse Phase (Days 61-90)

  • Triggered simultaneous failures across all major systems

  • Encrypted critical infrastructure controls

  • Destroyed digital identities

  • Initiated chain reaction of system failures
