The Elysians

Elysium Nexus is habited by thousands of people titled Elysians. But not all Elysians are equal, within the strong and promising walls of Elysium Nexus lies a merit system that implemented to ensure survivability of humanity; either by skills or hereditary:

  1. Pioneers: original founders and their descendants, possessing superior intellect and technological prowess.

  2. Specialists: highly-skilled workers tested by pressures and expectations. Recognized and respected by many.

  3. Citizens: general class population without special merit nor significant demerits. Requiring the Council or Pioneers' approval to become one.

  4. Prospects: recently admitted survivors, non-citizen children, or citizens with special marks caused by numerous demerits with prospects to become transgressors.

  5. Transgressors: law-breakers and evil survivors who tried to hack the Grid for their own benefits, wanted by the Council.

The citizens of Elysium Nexus are constantly looking far into the future. With a remembrance of the past, a single action slowly turned into a new habit adopted by mass; then becomes a folk tradition embraced by many.

Peeking into the daily lives, the citizens of Echo are highly educated in practical survival skills that required to excel within their constant threats, from scavenging, exploration, to self-defense. Equipped with mandatory technology knowledge and training, they also preserve historical records to recreate past relics and wisdom that provides a mean to bridge the future, or as a mere entertainment to keep the mind occupied.
